I had some leftover liquid dye from re-dyeing some jeans.

Make sure to read all of the instructions first. I decided to use my kitchen sink since it is stainless steel and some metal tongs so my hands would not turn blue.

Here is the end result:

The embellishments turned out to be a little surprise by the end.

Lovely how things don’t always happen the way you think they will.

I also bought some Citronella Oil because these are going to be outside candles.

In the big pot, add a couple inches of water and then place the smaller pot inside. Then, start melting! Once the wax as been melted thoroughly add a couple drops of the citronella oil and mix.

Lastly, pour the wax into the container and let cool.

On Monday, I finally had the motivation to make a new one out of scrap pieces in the garage. I was a little intimidated by using the power tools by myself, but I powered through it (pun intended!). Here is the end result.

It still needs some additional boards but the basic structure is there. I was inspired by this tutorial with wooden pallets.
