Finally finished my tote. Sewing did not take long but the weaving took more time than I thought!
I’ve had this dress for a while and only wore it a handful of times. I always thought the white was just too white. I had some leftover liquid dye from re-dyeing some jeans. Make sure to read all of the instructions first. I decided to use my kitchen sink since it is stainless steel ...
After hoarding leftover candle chunks, I finally decided to melt them into new ones. All you need are some leftover wax, glass jars, double boiler(I used one big pot and a smaller one) and some wicks. I found these wicks at Hobby Lobby that were pretty cheap. I also bought some Citronella Oil because these ...
Just added a new Market bag to the shop. Four separate straps give this bag much versatility. They can be knotted different ways depending on the way you are using it. I also treated it with soy wax for water resistance.
I have been working on some sewing projects and decided to take a break with paper! Valentine’s is coming up and I always try to hand make something. This year I made a card:
For presents! Finally started getting gifts ready for the family. This year, we decided to use packaging paper and red string for a rustic look. I also used some white paint on some packages.
Tonight and tomorrow I will be downtown GR for the Avenue of the Arts Market. So very excited to be a part of this event. Location is 10 Weston, the old Little Bohemia store.
Working on something new! Hopefully it will turn out the way I picture it.
Made another set of coasters. Maybe one day I will make an actual quilt!
I received some quilting books from an aunt and now I am trying my hand at some small items. I just added a set of coasters to the shop. I made them out of a bright yellow, to bring some sunshine to the day!
It’s been a while but I finally added some new scarves to the shop! All Fall colors and cozy yarn.
I added another scarf and some wristlets in the shop!
Made my first cowl and added it to the shop! Check it out!
After finding this post on Sarah Landon‘s blog I decided to have a go at it. I’m not too sure about the colors but I wanted to use some leftover yard that I had… Here is what I have so far…
New Pillow and Wristlets! Stop at the Etsy shop to check them out!
Figured I would make handmade gifts this year to some couples getting married. Just small things, that way if they don’t like it it’s no big deal.
Trying to beat the heat by wishful thinking. Made this new flannel wristlet hoping it was Fall. Check it out in the shop!
Added some more wristlets to the shop! Hope you enjoy them! I know I am…I just had to make one for myself!
Just added some new wristlets to the Etsy shop. Check it out! Great summer accessory for on the go people!
Just added a new pillow to the Etsy shop. Check it out along with other items!
Here are some fun pictures from this winter.
He was born on August 26th and I finally got to see him. He is the best baby, the cutest, and the most squishiest. He is already lifting up his own head! Here are some pictures. I also finally finished the blanket for him!
We decided to make some pillows for a wedding gift for some friends. I like the thought that someone made something special for their celebration. The idea of a bridal registry is so unappealing. I would like to be surprised when it comes to gifts instead of just checking it off a list. Yes, the ...
I finally grew some plants! I don’t remember what they are…just flowers I guess. It’s starting to look like a jungle. The only problem is, there are little gnats all around.
My sister just had her baby shower recently and I was in charge of the decorations. I figured that it was useless to buy paper decorations and just throw them away after the party. So, I came up with a plan to find baby clothes and make a clothesline as the decoration. Here are the pictures. My mom also ...
Made some flowers out of tissue paper, pipe cleaners, stem wrap tape, and glitter spray. Took a while to get them done, but they turned out well. I made them from the tutorial from Folding Trees.
I found a tutorial for a Cathedral Window Quilt from Hyena In Petticoats and made it for a friend as a wedding gift. It is an easy quilt using origami techniques. This is also a great way to use up scrap pieces of fabric for the “windows” in the quilt.
After making a stencil, I traced the butterfly onto scrap-booking paper. I cut out each butterfly, and taped it to my wall. I also added some white swirls to break it up a little.
Monsters. These monsters were made for fun, just to keep my hands busy.Â
Here are some pictures I made using catalog pages. I outlined figures I liked and made silhouettes. Then, I glued strips of colorful pages for the background. It’s easily duplicated but time consuming.
